Gabriella Alberoni has been in the branding industry since 1993, after graduating in the top 5 with honours, and has since been working as a strategic brand designer and creative guru.

Her company, Brandgurus, has been focusing on providing strategic branding and design solutions for many blue-chip clients. Her design and work philosophy has evolved over the years and is predominantly underscored by the notion of “branding for good”, where brands use the power of sustainable development as a means for brand presence and innovation. She is a fierce proponent that sustainable development and business success are mutually inclusive, as illustrated by her many eco-ventures like her own green lifestyle TV show as well as her billboard recycling company.

As a branding strategist and design guru, her boundless creative prowess has been applied with great success to eco-ventures like Greendrinks (, achieving record-breaking attendance figures as well as producing the ground-breaking eco-lifestyle show, Hybrid Living. In addition to designing the brand, Hybrid Living, she was also the co-host and executive producer of the prime-time show and her talents were once again celebrated in 2008 by receiving the Media Greening Award hosted by JHB City Parks. She was also nominated for the Shoprite Woman of the Year Awards the following year and has recently been nominated once again for the 2011 Award in the “Socio-economic Business Developers” category.

Gabriella is also intrinsically involved with evolving the brands within the renewables sector and has successfully communicated the complexities inherent to the sector in a visual language that is de-jargonised, simple and humanised. She is also the co-founder of the successful eco-venture, Carbon d’ Afreeque (, which specialises in creating eco-accessories and products from recycled PVC billboard skins. Responsible for the creative look and feel, Gabriella was instrumental in guiding Carbon d’ Afreeque to becoming a visionary success as well as being been nominated for the Real Simple Green Innovation Awards in the fashion category.
